FEATURED PROJECTS
SIR WILLIAM BORLASE SCHOOL
HERITAGE FACADE WALL
The Background:
Created as part of a larger refurbishment project to create a 6th form facility in a tired and under utised hall, the existing wall of the school hall was removed and replaced with a completely new facade feature wall. This was designed to complement the existing original buildings which are over 400 years old.
What we did:
-
Created a design and gained approval from Heritage and Planning Authorities.
-
Designed and sourced bespoke fired bricksbrickwork to accommodate new windows, door and feature stained glass window panels
-
Constucted the new facade using specialist builders including panels of hand-knapped flint to match existing heritage buildings.
-
Created feature triangular feature wall to echo the features of the existing buildings.
